Aftercare Advice
Massage

Drink plenty of water

Avoid heavy meals following a treatment

Avoid stimulants (Tea, coffee, smoking, alcohol etc)

Avoid strenuous activity/exercise after a treatment

Avoid using heat or other treatments for 24 hours
-
You may need to use the toilet more frequently for the first 24 hours due to the increase of toxin and waste removal following a treatment.
Facials
-
Drink plenty of water

Cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily
-
Use correct skincare products for skin type
-
Have regular facials
-
Eat a balanced diet
-
Get enough sleep
-
Exercise regularly
-
Avoid smoking and alcohol
Manicures
-
Use cuticle oil and hand cream daily
-
Wear gloves when cleaning, doing the washing up, gardening and decorating etc
-
Treat your nails as jewels not tools! Use the pads of your fingers
-
Remove polish with non-acetone remover
-
Have regular manicures
-
If you need to file nails do so in one direction using a 240 grit file
-
Apply a top coat daily to help polish last longer
Pedicures
-
Use cuticle oil and foot cream daily
-
If you wish to remove nail polish do so with a non-acetone remover
-
Use a foot file up to 3 times a week to prevent hard skin on your feet
-
Have a pedicure once a month to maintain healthy skin and nails
-
Check soles of feet regularly for signs of foot conditions
-
If you need to cut or file toes between appointment do so in a straight line and file in one direction.
Gels
As well as the above manicure and pedicure advice you should also note:
-
Do not attempt to remove gels at home - book in for a removal
-
Do not pick or peel gels off you will damage your natural nails
-
Have gels removed/reapplied every 2-4 weeks
-
Avoid intense heat like Jacuzzis, Sauna, Steam rooms
-
Avoid soaking your hands and do not for the first 24 hours
Highly Defined
Brows
-
Avoid using abrasive cleansers or glycolic or acid or enzyme-based products around the brow area.
-
Carefully cleanse the face with a non-oily, milky cleanser to gently remove dirt or make up.
-
Avoid chlorinated pools.
-
Avoid excessive exercise, saunas and steam rooms will limit the products staying power.
-
UV exposure and the use of sunscreens may affect the colour and/or longevity of the tint.
-
Please leave 3-4 weeks before returning to tinting procedures.
-
Should itching, hives or blisters appear, please seek immediate medical attention.
-
No hot baths or showers for 24 hours. If the client must shower, then only use warm water and avoid using soap on the waxed area.
-
Avoid touching the area for 24 Hours.
-
Do not apply any creams or lotions to the area for 24 hours.
-
You may experience in growing hairs. Keep the area exfoliated and moisturised from 48 hours after the treatment.
Brow Lamination
-
Avoid applying makeup for 4-6 hours after the treatment
-
Avoid sleeping on your front or side
-
Avoid getting area wet for 24 hours
-
Also follow advice for HD Brows (even if you only had tint and wax)
-
Brow lamination should last 4-6 weeks depending on hair growth. Treatment can be repeated minimum of every 4 weeks.
Lash Lift
For the first 24 hours do not:
-
Get your lashes wet
-
Use a Sauna, Steam room or Swimming Pool
-
Use eye makeup
-
Have any other facial treatment
Additionally:
-
Avoid laying on your side/front when sleeping
-
Be gentle when touching your lashes - no rubbing
-
Do not use eyelash curlers
-
Avoid waterproof mascara
-
The use of a Sauna/Steam room is possible after 24 hours but it may weaken the effects of the lash lift
Tinting
-
Avoid Sun/UV for 24 hours as it can fade the tint
-
Avoid Swimming, Sauna, Steamroom and Jacuzzi for 24 hours
-
Avoid eye makeup for 24 hours
-
Oil based makeup remover can cause tint to fade quicker
-
Avoid touching the area straight after your treatment
Specific to eyelashes:
-
Avoid heat for 24 hours
-
Avoid putting your contact lenses back in for the rest of the day
-
Keep lashes dry for 24-48 hours
-
Tint will start to fade after 4-6 weeks
-
Treatment can be redone after 6 weeks
Specific to brows:
-
This treatment will fade depending on brow growth
-
Treatment can be redone every 2-4 weeks
Waxing
For the first 24 hours you should:
-
Wear loose, clean clothing
-
Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools
-
Avoid heat (baths, showers, hot tubs, sauna, steam room etc)
-
Not tan (Sunbeds, outdoor or fake tan)
-
Not partake in excessive exercise or activities
-
Avoid scratching or touching the area
-
Not apply deodorant, body sprays, powders or lotions
You should:
-
To soothe and protect the skin apply antiseptic cream regularly for 48 hours after the treatment, ensuring to always wash your hands prior.
-
After 3 days begin to exfoliate the areas a couple times a week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
-
Moisturise daily
-
Not shave between appointments
-
Have waxing every 4-6 weeks.
You may notice some regrowth after a week, this is due to your hair being on different growth cycles - after 4 treatments they should be synced and regrowth should be rare.
Some slight soreness, redness and bumps may be apparent after waxing, this should reduce within the first 24-48 hours, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
